Is American culture in a death spiral? If so, what can the church do about it? Increasingly, the institutions we depend on for vibrant communities—churches, families, schools, businesses, and the media—appear to be failing. Less than two in ten Americans have a “great deal” of confidence in the church, public schools, banks, newspapers, the medical system, or the criminal justice system. More than 80% of Americans think the moral state of the nation is getting worse. We are told by some we live in a “negative world” where Christianity itself is now viewed as a threat rather than a help. In this situation, how can Christians respond constructively? Join Dr. John West as he draws on lessons from America’s past to explore how churches and Christians today can play a positive role in reforming our culture.

SUNDA,Y MARCH 3 | 3 — 4 PM

“Abortion is the greatest evil of our time.” — Pastor Jon Needham, January 19, 2020
You are invited to join us as we pray for the cause of the unborn in Kitsap County. On Sunday, March 3, from 3 - 4 pm, we will be gathering for a time of prayer and worship across the street from the Bremerton Planned Parenthood in the parking lot of Peace Lutheran School. We will ask God to move mightily through his Church to provide care and hope for women in distress, protection for the unborn, and salvation for those who refuse to acknowledge God as the author and sustainer of all life.
This will be a somber, outdoor event in the midst of a Washington winter. Come expecting rain and harsh weather. Parents, we won’t be providing any childcare and while you are welcome to bring your children, they will need to remain with you at all times and the environment may not be suitable for small children.
**Please note, we are assembling to pray, not protest. We ask that you don't bring picketing signs or anything that would create an environment of hostility.**

There are 59 “one another's” in the scriptures that teach us how to relate to each other and be in a Christian community together. Many of them specifically talk about serving one another. God is always calling you, and you need to use your gifts to serve the body of Christ. Below are some areas that currently have spots to fill;
Current areas of opportunity include;
• Security Team- 3rd service, special events, and Thursday nights • Midweek Class Volunteers - coffee, security
You may also visit the Next Steps station in the foyer on Sunday mornings or fill out a connect card and start using your gifts.
